The Archipelagos

Imuchakk

The Independent Nations & the Archpelagos ZpEIRd3

Ruler: National Chief Rejalolo
Goals: Like most of the Archipelago islands, Imuchakk cares little for the land outside of its own sphere of influence. They focus mainly around their own interests, trying to build a completely self-dependent nation. This is achieved through further development of the clan system, with each one of the five clans being led by clan chiefs under the National chief.
Culture: Imuchakk, despite the frozen locale, is a surprisingly warm place emotionally. At least, if you prove yourself. Due to the natives' gargantuan size and development, they tend to treat those who haven't proven themselves to the people like children. Not aggressive, just extremely patronizing. However, were one to actually participate in the coming of age ceremony, they will treat anyone who passes like a member of the clan. Thus, people who aim to have good relationships with the nation is best suited at attempting to pass the trials.
Religion: As a nation, they are by-and-wide atheistic, caring more about nature than they do about potential gods and goddesses. This is not to say that they don't have traditions, they are extremely well versed in their ancient lore, but their day to day lives are too hectic to really focus much around priests, and tend to see them as silly, naive people who haven't had to work a day in their lives.
Climate: Imuchakk is one of the northern archipelagos islands, and is well known for its frozen landscape and the gargantuan size of their people (for more information, see Races). However, the island itself is completely frozen water, and is thus extremely cold all year around. For those who are unprotected, they can wind up being killed by the weather alone within ten minutes. Yet, with the tribal culture of the place, it's bizarrely sophisticated, focusing more around a series of small tribes with deep, rich traditions rather than just independent nomads.

Artemyra

The Independent Nations & the Archpelagos CodeGeassSymbol16

Ruler: Queen Gisila Hypolita
Goals: Similar to Imuchakk, they care little for the world affairs that don't involve their country, but they are extremely obsessed over a singular issue - Women's liberation. Due to being the world's largest matriarchy, a country where women are the soldiers, politicians and leading figures whilst men are just the partners, they are extremely dedicated to being able to remove the "yoke of oppression" from the women in the rest of the world, looking for a more gender neutral society.
Culture: As already mentioned, Artemyra is a matriarchy to the extreme. The army is entirely made out of women, and men are seen as people that need protecting. This has caused a lot of friction with the rest of the world who have an almost mirror opposite view of gender roles. However, they also focus a lot more around communion with nature, and are thus the country that makes the largest amount of animal-trainers. With the large population of giant birds that live in the forests of the nation, they are much more used to animals than the average person.
Religion: Artemyra is, rather interestingly, a mix between polytheistic and atheistic, having only a small population of priests. The religion that there is, however, is found almost nowhere else on the world. They believe that a female god created the world, and that men were birthed from the first woman. They believe that goddesses control everything in the world, and that the rukh itself are tiny birds that work for the goddesses.
Climate: Artemyra is, by nature, a tropical island. The weather is frequently humid due to their position near the equator, and are closer to Heliohapt than any other nation. Yet, at the same time, they suffer from one of the worst weather changes in the seasons, going from unbearably hot and humid during summer and spring, and extremely wet and miserable during autumn and winter. However, with the sheer population of trees on this island, the rain is extremely welcome.

Sasan

The Independent Nations & the Archpelagos DZxOKWM

Ruler: King Antigus Laximanne
Goals: Sasan, as you might expect, cares a lot more about the way the world is run outside of its borders than the other archipelagos nations. This is because of their spreading of religious interest. As one of the three capitals of common religion in the world, Sasan cares a lot about spreading this belief elsewhere and being able to fix the world around it from its sinful ways.
Culture: Sasan's culture is stooped in religious respect. As a patriarchy, they frequently clash with Artemyra, but due to their unwillingness to abuse women, they have never actually come to blows. Despite men being seen as more dominant, with men being able to take multiple wives, women are highly respected in this culture. Men are neither allowed to look them in the eyes, nor are they allowed to be caught thinking unsavory things about them before marriage. This has resulted in women needing to be protected by chaperones at all times.
Religion: Sasan is the home of the Diinta religion. Sasan preaches more about humans themselves having capacity for evil, and thus requiring all the more discipline to avoid falling to it - The believers in this tend to be extremely respectful to those around them and, thus, being a lot more empathetic than other nations. However, in return for this placidity, they live their lives under several stymies. They can't eat pork or drink alcohol, aren't allowed to look members of the opposite gender in the eye, and tend to be overlooked due to their pleasant nature being mistaken for awkwardness. Crime, within this nation, is much more stringently punished than anywhere else in the world.
Climate: The climate of this country is, bizarrely, extremely neutral. Because of its position near Balbadd, it shares the country's climate of almost constant warmth. The minimum temperature it ever gets to is -2', and that's in midwinter.

Magnostadt

The Independent Nations & the Archpelagos KiiLVSh

Ruler: Chancellor Cassender Eadgar

Goals:  Magnostadt’s focus is extremely focused around the protection of mages. Until around a decade ago, Mages were seen as property of the crown and were used as tools rather than actual people. That is why, after a bloody rebellion, the old Musta’sim kingdom was transformed into the first school of mages, Magnostadt, and has been working to protect mages and bring them to be taught there ever since.

Culture:  The country is, as a whole, biased pro-mages. They are given preferential treatment and a lot more respect, although goi are still allowed into the country as long as they can prove that they will be able to donate something to the country as a whole, whether this be through a work-permit, given by any one of the teachers, or through having sufficient money to donate to the country to keep them going. Those that become useless to the country seem to disappear, never to be seen again.

Religion: Magnostadt is a country of atheists; people who only believe in the study of magical sciences and how to use them. This has caused them to become at odds with more religiously extreme nations like Sasan, but they have so far avoided a war.

Climate: Encased in a giant dome of magic, Magnostadt’s weather is generated by magical tools – If the crops need rain, then water magic creates a rain storm. If the windmills need wind, then they use wind magic to make the breeze, etc. As such, it is almost predictable how much weather someone gets, and they never get seasonal weather because of this very fact.

----

Magnostadt Academy

The academy itself, arguably the heart of the Magnostadt nation, is a place where any mage in the world can come and learn how to use their magic better. All it requires is a simple magic test at the gate, and they're allowed in at the very bottom of the class.

Kodors

Kodors are the basic ranks attributed to a mage from Magnostadt, and the higher your kodor the more power and influence you have over other people. There are, all in all, seven.

6th Kodor - Anyone at the beginning of their training in Magnostadt
5th Kodor- Someone who's taken a test (modded by staff members) with Int 10 - 19
4th Kodor - Someone who's taken the test with int  20 - 29
3rd Kodor - Someone who's taken the test with int  30 - 39
2nd Kodor - Someone who's taken the test with int  40 - 49
1st Kodor - Someone who's taken the test with int 50
High Class Mage - People of 2nd Kodor or higher who've chosen to work as a teacher at the school.

Iktiyar

The Iktiyar is a test that someone takes to prove their ability as a mage. It can only be taken after being in the 6th Kodor for a fortnight IC, and requires a performance of magical ability which is modded by a staff member.

Two potential graduates (or a potential and an NPC) will be pitted together within the same int bracket. They then fight, and whoever wins gets to graduate. Those that don't, don't.

Gyfos

The Independent Nations & the Archpelagos Mabi_Guild_Emblem_Aviary_by_Falcontress85

Ruler: Lady Kezzia Marrah

Gyfos is not, strictly speaking, a nation in its own right - at least, not any more. Gyfos was, until around thirty years ago, one of the most influential places in the Western World. They lived off of a small peninsula that was part of the mainland, just off of the Tenzen plateau. However, after a civil war where people fought over the leadership of the country, the land was devastated with magical energy and soaked with blood. As such, it became infertile and they were forced to move onto pastures green. However, their destruction of their own land has caused a large amount of prejudice against them, causing them to have to move across the planet, looking for some form of sanctuary.
