The Key Religions Empty The Key Religions

The world is a very religious place, and there are almost as many small religions as there are stars in the sky, but there are three major religions that have managed to be found in multiple nations, although naturally each one is most popular in its own homeland.

Chuang

Technically a way of thinking rather than a religion, Chuang as a practice preaches mediation before all else, a detachment to material desires and a strong link to the white rukh. The most famous sect of this belief system is known as "Senkaimon", and are infamous for their abilities in terms of magoi manipulation due to their body's calm link with the rukh that flows through them. Through years of stringent practice and manipulation of the magoi, only Senkaimon members are able to see the rukh without being a full magician.

Devan

Devan is slightly less stringent than Chuang or Diinta, and focuses more about being able to come to an understanding with other people. Believing in a second life, a world after this world, the Devanians focus their attention on living lives that their god will approve of. This generally involves praying, being calm and collected in all they do, and attempting to get along with their fellow man even when they disagree. Most believers follow under local leaders known as "Preachers", generally mages who focus in healing and light magic to be able to improve the lives of their fellow man. However, they also believe in total equality under god (and under his messenger Father Mephys), and so every priest will wear a special type of cloth that stops their body being able to produce rukh until removed.

Diinta

Diinta is a much more severe religious creed than the other two, and as such is also the least popular. Diinta has only recently come to be a world-wide religion due to this severity. Unlike the other two, it preaches more about humans themselves having capacity for evil - The believers in this tend to be extremely respectful to those around them, lowering any bounty levied upon them significantly. However, in return for this placidity, they live their lives under several stymies. They can't eat pork or drink alcohol, aren't allowed to look members of the opposite gender in the eye, and tend to be overlooked due to their pleasant nature being mistaken for awkwardness.
